Since 1987, our beauty school has expanded to two campuses in the Houston area: Houston Training Schools’ Gessner campus and the main campus. The main campus is located by East Fwy, and the second campus is located by S Gessner Rd.

Q: How long is cosmetology school in Houston?
Every program has a specific number of hours that need to be completed before the student can graduate and take their licensing exams. For example, the cosmetology license requirements in Texas state that a 1,000-hour program must be completed and passed by an established beauty educational institution.
Here are the required hours needed for every beauty student by program:
- Cosmetology: 1,000 hours
- Esthetician: 750 hours
- Nail technician: 600 hours
- Eyelash extension specialist: 320 hours
- Barbering: 1,000 hours
